Our e-learning platform, myWINGS, provides everything you need for your studies in one central location. You will find your online modules, on-demand video lectures, study instructions, scripts, e-books, exercises, sample exams, grades, and important dates. The platform also allows you to track your progress at any time.

With a clear and intuitive navigation structure, myWINGS ensures ease of use. To help you get started, we provide a comprehensive video introduction and detailed training on the study app at the beginning of your distance learning course. The core of our knowledge transfer is based on recorded, interactive online modules and lectures.

In the online lectures, you will learn the essential study content, supported by thorough exam preparation. The online modules include the following features:

• Video and audio recordings of the lecturer combined with presentations.
• Teaching content organized into easily navigable chapters.
• Test questions and knowledge checks at the end of each chapter to reinforce learning.
• Intensive exam preparation, covered in a dedicated chapter.
• Streaming availability of online lectures via the app, accessible both online and offline.
• Progress tracking, allowing you to monitor your current performance status at any time.

While the online modules are designed to be highly effective and didactically robust, we understand that you may have questions or wish to engage in discussions with fellow students or lecturers. To support this, we offer live tutorials via video conference on fixed dates, led by the respective lecturer. These sessions focus on specific chapters or topics from the online modules and can also be used to discuss case studies.

The live tutorials are recorded and made available as podcasts, ensuring you can access them anytime, anywhere. This comprehensive and flexible approach ensures that you have the resources, guidance, and support needed for a successful distance learning experience.

At the beginning of your studies, you will receive your login data for the myWINGS e-learning platform. To help you get started with your studies, we will invite you to an initial online event. Get to know the course leader, your fellow students and the WINGS team. We will introduce you to all the key organisational topics and show you how to plan your modules and examinations. And now, the self-study begins – work your way through your semester using the documents. Learn when it suits you best. You should expect to spend about 10 to 15 hours a week.

Would you like to take a semester off or postpone an exam? No problem. Our study programme coordinators will accompany you during your studies and are available to answer any organisational questions you may have. When it comes to questions concerning the content of your studies, our team of lecturers will support you every step of the way – either call us directly or send us an email with your request. You can count on us.

Each module concludes with an examination, most of which are written assessments. Alternatively, coursework, presentations, or project work may be included. Don’t worry – we will prepare you thoroughly for your examinations with interactive video lectures, test assignments, practice exams, and live tutorials.

Good to know: Maximum flexibility is guaranteed. You can conveniently sit your exams online, for example, from the comfort of your home, where you will be accompanied and supervised by our WINGS examination team. Alternatively, you can take your exam in person alongside your fellow students at one of our 16 examination locations in Germany and Austria.

We build a bridge between theory and practice. Our lecturers possess many years of professional experience and will teach you the contents that is really relevant to practice. In doing so, you can apply your new knowledge directly on the job the very next day.

The multimedia video lectures teach you the essential study contents and offer comprehensive preparation for your examinations. In tandem with the lecture, you will also be working through the corresponding study script.

You will not be left alone with your self-study questions. We offer weekly live tutorials in the form of video conferences led by your instructors. If you missed these sessions, it’s not a problem. The events are recorded and are also available to you on the e-learning platform.

You feel you’ve got to grips with the material, or should you perhaps watch the lecture again? Review your learning progress with questionnaires and tests – tried-and-tested by our students and found to be highly effective.

A place for your study documents: With the Campus cloud, you have the opportunity to store your personal documents and share them with others.

You have the opportunity to use various online libraries free of charge via the university network, including SpringerLink, WISO-Net, statista, OECD iLibrary, De Gruyter and HANSER eLibrary.

You can use databases for research purposes relevant to your studies through Wismar University of Applied Sciences. You will receive the software you need for your course of study: e.g. specific IT tools, access to IEA Statistics or Citavi, a literature management programme. You can also purchase licences at a discounted price, e.g. products from Microsoft or Adobe.
