It honours individuals, organisations and research institutes who support the development of professional lighting design in their work. “Parsons The New School for Design” and “The Nuckolls Fund” – both from New York/USA – were also shortlisted in the PLDR Award for Education category. The prize is awarded in eight categories in total: Award at Large, Lifetime Award, Award for the Best Partner in Industry, Award for the Best Project, Award for the Best Daylight Project, Award for Research, Award for the Best Newcomer and Award for Education. The PLDC takes place every two years. International lighting designers and architects meet at this conference to exchange views on current and future developments in lighting design.
