International Online Degree Programme offered by WNGS ad bremenports attracts huge interest worldwide.
Since October 2016, the German distance learning provider WINGS, based at Wismar, has offered the first international Online Degree Programme for the maritime shipping and port logistics business. The worldwide response to the “Bachelor Maritime Logistics and Port Management” is awesome.
Over the last few months, WINGS has been contacted by potential students from 84 different countries, including Australia, the Ivory Coast and the United Arab Emirates. Robert Howe, Managing Director of the port management company bremenports, is equally delighted at this interest: “Our partner company WINGS enjoys an excellent reputation as a provider of distance learning courses. We are delighted that there is obviously great global demand for this joint project.” The specialists at bremenports contribute elements with a practical focus to the course, for instance their expertise in port management and how to fund logistics projects.
The English-language course, which leads to the qualification “Bachelor Maritime Logistics and Port Management”, is designed for professionals with experience of this sector who wish to qualify for the next step on their career ladder in shipping, logistics or port operations. This specialist theoretical knowledge and international university degree qualify them for management positions with shipping companies, port management enterprises, logistics providers and forwarding agencies.
Participants from all over the world can opt for networked studies in the form of an online campus and studies app, leading to a German degree. The start of the course has been postponed till the 2017 winter semester to enable as many students as possible to be included in this part-time course.
